RUNNER UP: Denver Stewart, employed by Tilley's Contracting, trained by NextGen Skills.

Well-prepared and composed, Denver approached the task with a steady and structured mindset, showing noticeable improvement from the previous year.

THIRD PLACE: Callen Temple, employed by Paragon Plumbing, trained by North Metro Tafe.

Callen, in his fourth year of apprenticeship, was just 2 points away from securing the runner-up position.

He approached his project with a calm and focused demeanour, which reflected in this result.

Practical assessment
The competition day took place on Thursday, 26 June 2025 at Welshpool Campus and was judged by 4 industry professionals.

Finalists have competed for points by completing practical activities across multiple areas including:

  • Water supply
  • Gasfitting
  • Welding and brazing
  • Sanitary plumbing
  • General plumbing

The winner, runner-up and third place of the competition day were announced at the 2025 NextGen Skills & Ascora Job Management Plumbing Apprentice Training and Employment Awards Night on Saturday, 13 September 2025.
