Recently, the NextGen Skills team were given an extraordinary collection of photographs and hand-drawn illustrations from retired plumbing trainer, Mr Mervyn Thompson (Peter Thompson’s dad), who worked in plumbing education in Perth.
These images capture training facilities, teaching methods, apprentices at work, and moments that tell the story of our industry’s evolution in Western Australia.
We have been compiling these into a professionally printed photobook – a visual time capsule that honours the people, skills, and spirit that have shaped the plumbing trade in Western Australia.
Because of the generous support of Samios Plumbing Supplies we are able to hand out the book free of charge!
If you would like to obtain a copy of this free heritage book, please fill out the FORM or send us an EMAIL.
We sincerely thank Samios Plumbing Supplies for covering the entire photobook production, including scanning, artwork and printing.
We would also like to thank our photo book gold partners, Sanwell Plumbing & Civil and Emyjor Services, as well as the bronze partners, Snap Plumbing & Construction and Allied Pumps.
Their support has enabled us to create a digital edition of this photo book and the printing of additional copies to share with the industry.
